We're fundraising to support projects and initiatives that:
conserve the horse tramway's heritage, including its vintage tramcars;
promote the tramway (and more generally the use of draught horses in transport and other industries on the Isle of Man);
develop the attraction and experience for passengers and visitors.
The latest project that we're supporting is the restoration of double-deck tramcar no.18, built in 1883 by the Falcon Engine & Car Works, Loughborough.
Please help by making a donation of any amount. Thank you.

We are an education and heritage conservation support charity.
Some of the ways in which education and heritage may be 'advanced' in the context of the operation of an historic horse tramway are described in About the Trust which also sets out our aims and objectives and highlights some of the initiatives that we've supported.
The day-to-day upkeep and welfare of the tram horses and day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway presently are publicly funded by the Isle of Man Government in support of the Island's heritage and tourism offering.
